Mario was born and raised in New Orleans after his parents immigrated from Guayaquil, Ecuador. Mario graduated from LSU and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Southern University Law Center in 1990, where he graduated with honors.

Upon graduation from law school Mario worked at the East Baton Rouge Parish Public Defenders Office and for the past few years has represented defendants accused of capital crimes. He brings years of courtroom experience to the firm in the hopes of using his abilities to best serve the clients of Dudley DeBosier.

Mario was appointed to sit as Judge Pro Tempore in 1999 in Baton Rouge City Court by the Louisiana Supreme Court. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and was Past President of Baton Rouge Bar of Criminal Justice and the Sacred Heart Men’s Club. He is involved with the St. Vincent dePaul Conference at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Baton Rouge.

He is married to Wanda Beams Guadamud and has two sons and one grand-daughter. Mario is also fluent in Spanish.
