David Hanchey practices law in New Orleans, Louisiana, for Dudley DeBosier. He attended Louisiana State University, where he obtained a finance degree in 1985 and a law degree in 1989. After law school, David clerked for U.S. District Judge Donald E. Walter in the Western District of Louisiana.
After practicing corporate law and becoming a partner at two law firms, David started his own firm. His practice focused on representing individuals in litigation matters involving personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, hurricane insurance claims, auto collisions, and various other accident cases.
He’s a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Foundation, the Southwest Louisiana Bar Foundation, and the Louisiana Association for Justice.
David is a past president of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association. He served as the chair of the inaugural Southwest Louisiana Bench Bar Conference, received the Outstanding Committee Chair Awards, and the President’s Outstanding Service Award.
He also has served as a member of the board of directors of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association, the Southwest Louisiana Bar Foundation, the Bishop Noland Episcopal Day School, Junior Achievement of Southwest Louisiana, and the Junior League of Lake Charles.
