Born in Jennings, Louisiana, Matt Terrell attended college at LSU, where he was on the dean's list and graduated with a degree in business administration in 2000. Matt went on to earn his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from LSU's Paul M. Herbert Law Center in 2004, where he graduated with honors in the top ten percent of his class and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Making the Chancellor's List from 2001-2004, he also earned multiple CALI awards for receiving the highest grades in Legal Traditions and Systems, Sales and Real Estate, and Louisiana Security Devices.

Matt clerked for the Honorable Judge Ralph Tureau in the 23rd Judicial District from 2004-2005, before become a voting partner with the defense law firm Chaffe McCall from 2005-2014.

Now a member of the team at Dudley DeBosier, Matt is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Louisiana. He focuses his practice on personal injury law, toxic tort law, and product liability, and has handled several notable cases, including multiple 18-wheeler cases, plant/refiner explosions, asbestos/mesothelioma cases, and auto accident claims. Matt is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Section Chair of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, and Community Service Co-Chair of Baton Rouge Rotaract.

Matt believes there must be mutual trust, respect, and communication between attorneys and clients to successfully resolve cases. He enjoys helping people and welcomes the intellectual challenges of the legal profession.

When he's not in the office, Matt volunteers his time to coach intramural soccer and tee-ball at St. George Catholic Church, where he is also a member of the Men's Club. Matt and his family are big sports fans, and especially enjoy cheering on their two favorite college football teams: LSU and whichever school is playing against the University of Alabama that week.
